One player’s setup illustrated above.

Shuffle all cards and deal FIVE cards to each player. Place the remaining cards at the center of the table face down to create the “draw pile.” Next to this deck is the “discard pile” with cards face up. As you earn points you will track them with facedown cards in front of you.

Player Turn:
At the beginning of each turn every player draws cards so that they have a hand of FIVE.
If you are in control you are the Attacker! You choose an opponent and Make Your Moves!

Attack: The Attacker may attack with any three cards as long as they are each a different color. Add up the power levels of all attacking cards and then describe the Move that’s been Made! You may attack once per turn.

Example: Attacker makes a move with a Red 2, Blue 3, and Yellow 1 for a total of 6.

Defense: If you are attacked you are the Defender! You may defend with up to as many cards the Attacker played of the same colors. You may use multiple cards of the same color to Defend, which may Make Your Moves even sillier to describe!

Example: Defender responds with Two Red 2, and a Yellow 2 for a total of 6.

Stacking Singles: Singles of the same color may be stacked and played as though they are a single card by both Attackers and Defenders.

Example: Defender instead responds with a stack of Three Red 1, a Yellow 2, and a Yellow 1 for a total power of 6.

Wild: Any number of wild cards can be added to your move and do not count towards the 3 card limit. Attackers can not play a wild card by itself, it must be played along with at least one card of another color. Defenders can use a wild card in response to any color, even by itself.
Example: Attacker plays a Wild 2 and a Red 3. Defender can only respond with one Red card, or a Red card plus a Wild card.

Scoring:

  • If the Attacker and Defender Power are Equal the attack is blocked! No points are earned, the Attacker remains in control.

  • If the Attacker Power is greater, the Attacker gains a point and remains in control.

  • If the Defender Power is greater by 1, they steal control.

  • If the Defender Power is greater by 2 or more, they steal control and earn a point.

If you are playing an elimination match, reverse this and the player who takes damage earns the point. In this case, if you take 3 points of damage, you are eliminated.

Counter/Dodge: If the Defender has four cards of the same color they may play those cards to instantly Counter (gain control without points being scored) or Dodge (cause the attack to target another player).

Assist: If you are not an Attacker or Defender you may contribute one card from your hand to help either player involved in the Moves taking place. Stacking Singles does not apply for an assist.

End of turn: After an attack and defense takes place, all players may discard as many cards as they like. The next turn begins with everyone drawing to get back to 5 cards.

Victory: You win by either being the first to earn 3 points, or eliminating all of your opponents!
